Privacy policy
How the Animal Face Test handles personal data.
The Animal Face Test (the "Service") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Network Act and other applicable Korean legislation in order to keep your personal data safe.
This policy explains what personal data the Service processes and for what purpose, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Scope
This policy applies equally to the animal-face.net website, every domain connected to it, and access from mobile browsers.
For personal data handling on external websites or ad networks reached from the Service, please refer to those services' own policies.
2. Purpose of processing
The Service processes personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes below.
- Providing the animal face test through AI face analysis and composing the result screen
- Improving stability by checking in-browser model loading state and errors
- Operational management for serving ads through Google AdSense and complying with ad policies
3. Categories of personal data processed
The Service processes the following without any sign-up or account.
Information you provide directly in the browser
- Uploaded image files: read only temporarily by an AI model running in your browser; never transmitted to or stored on a server.
- Gender selection: used only as a state value to pick a classification model, and kept only in browser memory.
- Language selection: reflected only in the URL path to determine the display language, and not stored separately.
External service information that may be processed during use
- The Google AdSense script runs on every page, and in the course of this Google may process ad requests, cookies and ad interaction information.
* The Service does not store your images on a server. Selecting a photo may, however, leave a recent-items entry on your own device — in the browser or the operating system — which you can clear using that device's recent-items settings.
4. Retention and processing period
The Service retains personal data only for the period required by law or agreed to by you.
- Uploaded images and analysis results: deleted as soon as analysis finishes, and not retained once you close or refresh the browser tab.
- Gender and language settings: reset automatically when the browser session ends.
- Advertising cookies and identifiers: not information the Service can store or delete. Google retains it under its own advertising policies, and you can manage it directly through Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) and your browser's cookie settings. Turning off personalised ads does not stop ads from appearing.
Where specific provisions exist in applicable law, those provisions apply.
5. Provision to third parties and delegated processing
The Service does not sell or rent personal data to third parties without your consent.
However, to run the Service the following processing is delegated or external libraries are used.
Integrated / delegated services
- Google AdSense (Google LLC): ad serving, ad configuration and performance measurement.
- Teachable Machine (Google LLC): loading the AI model in the browser and running inference.
Each integrated service operates its own privacy policy, and you can manage personalised advertising at any time from your Google account or browser settings.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Service does not set any cookies of its own for login or user identification. Your gender and language selections live only in browser memory and in the URL path, and are gone once you close the page.
However, Google AdSense, which runs on the page, may use third-party cookies and identifiers to serve ads. Cookies may also be set by the infrastructure the site is deployed on, for security and traffic management.
What third-party cookies are used for
- Serving ads through Google AdSense
- Providing personalised ads based on your previous visits
- Measuring ad performance and limiting repeated impressions of the same ad
You can restrict or delete cookie storage in your browser options. The animal face test works normally without cookies; in that case you may see generic ads instead of personalised ones.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
You and your legal representative may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal data.
That said, the Service does not keep uploaded photos or analysis results on a server, so for photos there is nothing left to access or delete. In practice, the information these rights apply to is mainly the enquiry emails you send us and their contents.
Advertising cookies and identifiers are processed by Google, so rights over that information can be exercised through Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) and your browser's cookie settings.
Animal face classification runs inside your own browser, and the result is entertainment content that does not affect your rights or obligations. If you have questions about automated processing, please get in touch using the address below.
To exercise these rights, please write to [email protected] and we will respond. The Service handles requests in accordance with applicable law and may ask for additional information to verify your identity where necessary.
8. Security measures
The Service takes the following measures to manage personal data securely.
Technical and administrative safeguards
- Minimising transmission of image data to servers by adopting an in-browser processing architecture
- Minimising access logs and monitoring through logs provided by the hosting provider
9. Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when legislation, service policy or features change, and any change is announced on this page.
The change history is recorded at the foot of this page together with the effective date.
